As a nurse midwife, I practiced In the United States for 24 years in private and public health settings and served as adjunct faculty at numerous schools of nursing. Internationally, I designed, implemented and oversaw multimillion dollar Maternal, Neonatal, Child, Youth, Adolescent and Reproductive Health (RMNCAH-Y) and Postabortion Care programs that delivered care and education to thousands of teens, men, women, health care providers and organizations in the US and abroad while remaining compliant to US Requirements for Abortion, Family Planning and HIV/AIDS.
RESULTS:
As Division Chair for Midwifery at DC General Hospital, introduced, facilitated the expansion of midwifery services to eight neighborhood health centers that has been sustained
Revised the US Government's global postabortion care model that has been adopted worldwide
Developed a global resource package for postabortion care including curricula, high impact practices, joint policy statements, used by over 108 countries
Improved health policies for family planning and postabortion care in 40 countries
Facilitated the adoption of family planning core competencies for midwifery education by the International Confederation of Midwives in 124 countries
Facilitated embassy-wide US Requirements compliance programming in Ethiopia
Created and produced over 240 videos on my YouTube channel, reaching viewers in 42 countries
