What your pregnancy and birth will be like?

Mastering Pregnancy and Birth is a coaching program designed to empower you, your partner, your family members and your birth worker(s) with the knowledge and confidence to shape a safe, joyful and customized pregnancy and birth experience of your dreams.
This program will help you to
1. learn your in-depth family and medical history and identify your health risks for pregnancy and birth;
2. Understand the difference between varied OB providers AND locatons for birth;
3. Have a better understanding of insurance coverage and maternity and paternity leave; and
4. Understand what you are agreeing to in consent forms and to assist you in preparing a personal birth plan
Once you have this history, you can use it with any health provider. You will save time when visiting new health providers. You won't need to fill out additional forms, just send a copy of this health history OR provide your hard copy.
How far are you willing to travel for the care that you would like to have for pregnancy and birth? You will gain the knowledge to be able to do online reviews of hospitals and birth centers for safety ratings, cesarean section rates and whether it is baby friendly.
Do you REALLY know what you are signing for pre-admission forms? This program will help you understand what you are signing with consent forms for prenatal care, care for labor, birth and the postnatal period, and newborn care.
Your review of your health insurance plan will provide information on types of service covered and what percentage of ceverage that you have for yourself and your newborn.
Your review of the policies for maternity and/or parternity leave and short term disability will help you to know if your eligibility for short term disability and if maternity and/or paternity leave is paid for or not. This information will assist you in knowing whether you need to have emregency fund for pregnancy and the postpartum period.
What do you want your pregnancy and birth experience to be like? You will develop a personalized birth plan to convey your desires and wishes for your birth experience.
